Nature Photography

Nature photography, also known as wildlife photography, involves capturing images of animals, plants, and natural scenes in their natural habitats.

This type of photography aims to showcase the beauty and diversity of the natural world, often highlighting wildlife behaviour, landscapes, and ecosystems. It requires patience, skill, and sometimes specialized equipment to get the perfect shot.

As digital camera technology has developed, so has the ability for more and more amateurs to be able to create stunning nature photographs.

Before you pack your rucksack and head-out, there are some basic requirements that need to be taken care of. You don’t need expensive equipment as good pictures can be taken with entry-level, or even budget cameras too.

The smaller the subject gets, such as insects, you’ll need a better lens than if you are snapping – for example – deer, as in my picture below.
